Q: Do I have to be a Christian to attend this class?
A: No, people from a variety of belief systems are invited to participate, including those who claim to have no belief system.
Q: Can adults attend the class?
A: Yes, adult parents / guardians can certainly audit the class and listen to the discussions. They will not necessarily be asked to participate in the discussions or activities, but can certainly watch / listen. Q: Can college students attend the class?
A: No. This class is designed for middle school and high school students. However, there are other GOD & SCIENCE Adult Classes offered by Jeff Hannah. You can register for those here.
Q: If I don’t like the class, can I get a refund?
A: No. There is a one-time fee for the class which covers the production of the materials. You may have philosophical or theological differences with the materials or instructor. But, we ask that you respect the fact that the course materials have been created / produced in good faith for the students, even if you disagree with some of the content.
Q: Is the instructor a Christian?
A: Yes, Jeff Hannah is a born-again Christian Apologist. He takes the viewpoint of a literal creation by God, as detailed in the book of Genesis in the Bible. However, he is scientifically-minded and has an ongoing interest in understanding the living world. Further, Jeff Hannah is also respectful of other worldviews, and seeks to approach those with differing viewpoints with the greatest degree of sensitivity possible.
Q: What happens if I miss a class?
A: We will attempt to upload video sessions of each class to our website so that students can watch a session if they miss class. Attendance in strongly encouraged, as there will be lots of interactive discussion and some hands-on activities.
Q: Can homeschool (home education) students get credit for this class?
A: Yes, we do have a special version of the class for homeschool students. You can earn up to 1/2 credit for the class if you complete all of the assignments and tests. Please go to the Homeschool Page for more details.
Q: Can we use cell phones / mobile devices in class?
A: We ask that students refrain from using cell phones / mobile devices in the class, unless they are using it to take notes. This will be monitored carefully. If a student’s use of a mobile device becomes a distraction, they may be asked to leave the class.
Q: How are discipline issues handled in the class?
A: We expect full participation and good behavior by all students. Misbehavior will not be tolerated. After a second warning, the student will be asked to leave the class, and parents / guardians will be informed immediately.
